Japan
April is a major spring month in Japan. Peak cherry blossom timing varies from year to year and by region, with the bloom moving north and into higher areas through the month. Tokyo and Kyoto work well for a city itinerary, but blossom forecasts should be checked closer to travel.
Italy
April works well for sightseeing and walking in Rome before the hottest summer months. Days are noticeably warmer than in March, although rain is still possible and Easter dates can affect crowds and prices.
